Sintra, mixed medium, drawing materials

Executed on panels of sintra, a synthetic material that behaves like traditional paper-pulp like surface, Marcaccio draws, scratches, applies elements, prints and carves the surface — all in the service of investigating the potential of drawing to convey a complex view of the world. Marcaccio’s work confronts the issues that mark this “gangster-Capitalist” era: permanent globalized wars, profound lack of social justice, and the abuse of human rights.
